Beliefs of Living Vine Community Church

At Living Vine Community Church, our beliefs are rooted in Scripture. As a non-denominational church, we cherish the following foundational truths:

-
The Infallibility of Scripture:
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God. It serves as our ultimate authority and guidance for life.
Supporting Scriptures:-
2 Timothy 3:16-17: "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness."
-
Psalm 119:160: "The sum of your word is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever."
-

-
-
The Nature of God:
We believe in one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (the Trinity).
Supporting Scriptures:-
Deuteronomy 6:4: "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one."
-
Matthew 28:19: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
-
2 Corinthians 13:14: "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all."
-

-
-
Call to Serve the Community:
We believe that the church is called to serve the community beyond the walls of the sanctuary, as Jesus instructed us to care for the needy.
Supporting Scriptures:-
Matthew 25:35-40: "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me… whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
-
James 1:27: "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress."
-

-
-
Baptism:
We believe in the ordinance of baptism as a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ.
Supporting Scriptures:-
Acts 2:38: "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins."
-
Romans 6:4: "We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."
-

-
-
Gifts of the Holy Spirit:
We believe that the Holy Spirit provides spiritual gifts to believers for the purpose of building up the church and serving the world.
Supporting Scriptures:-
1 Corinthians 12:7-11: "To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good… all these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills."
-
Ephesians 4:11-12: "And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ."
-

-
Personal Relationship with God:
We believe in the importance of a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
Supporting Scriptures:-
John 14:6: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
-
Revelation 3:20: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me."
